Description: This travel booklet (8.5 by 8.5 inches) is undated but is titled "France After the War" on the opening page, so must date from the late 1940s or early 1950s. It contains roughly 44 pages, by our count (it's unpaginated) touting the attractions of a French vacation via many black-and-white photographs. The front and back covers are in color. They feature the designs of an artist named Dobignard (possibly L. or G. as a first initial, it's hard to read). We have not been able to find out anything about him or her, but the images here are charming and colorful, and very much in the midcentury style. The piece is in beautiful vintage condition. There is a foldout map of France in the center.
