The topper is held against the battery with the hold down for Firebirds / Trans Ams. Other vehicles which do not have the hold down bar will need to use heavy duty Velcro (not included) to secure the topper to the battery. The inside dimensions of the topper are L = 10 1/2 and the W = 7 1/4. The Freedom topper will fit 78 series batteries and smaller. This topper is the finishing touches the engine compartment needs for your restoration. Utilizing this topper will allow you keep the warranty on your current battery.
