The ratio is optimal for RO water purity and membrane life. A capillary flow restrictor is an internal flow restrictor and is a replacement for bulky inline flow restrictors. To install,Remove the external flow restrictor.Remove brine tube from brine port fitting on the RO membrane housing. Insert capillary flow restrictor into the end of the brine tube and press until fully inserted. Push to connect the brine tube (with installed capillary restrictor) into the brine port fitting on the RO membrane housing. Flow restrictor replacement is recommended every 3-5 years, typically during membrane replacement.
