Description: Korean War buffs! Here is your chance to own a piece of history. The Skyraider was produced too late for use in World War II, but became the backbone of U.S. Navy aircraft carrier and U.S. Marine Corps strike aircraft sorties in the Korean War. Its weapons load and 10-hour flying time far surpassed the jets that were then available. On May 2, 1951, Skyraiders made the only aerial torpedo attack of the war, hitting the Hwacheon Dam, then controlled by North Korea. This vintage Douglas model kit (1970) has a 17 1/4" wingspan and is a rubber powered flying model kit for ages 10 and up. This model kit is still in the box, never opened, and still has the original plastic seal. Made in the USA, it's ready to come your way! (**Personal Note: #104)
