Description: Pedal cars put a generation in motion. Sized just for kids but with the style and detail of your old man's cruiser, they were a car guy's favorite toy. Hallmark continued the tradition by producing metal replicas of the pedal cars from 1992 through 2002. In 1992 14,500 of each of the first 5 models were produced. With increased popularity, the production numbers increased to 39,500 for some models in 1998 and 1999. Hallmark resumed production of the pedal cars in the mid-20teens with far fewer production numbers. The 1935 Gillham Auburn was produced in 2000. This model features working pedals, front wheel steering, light-up headlights and taillights (operated by a pushbutton on the dash), and music (operated by pushing the steering wheel). The pictures included are of the item for sale (not just a similar one) which comes from a smoke free and pet free home. I thoroughly enjoy finding these Kiddie Car Classics and sharing the expendable gems from my extensive collection. I plan to add many more for sale here soon. If you are interested in a particular model, please let me know so I can make it available on a priority basis. The lights and music are powered by two AAA batteries which are included in the purchase. The last picture demonstrates access to the batteries by pulling the top of the seat forward. The serial number of this Auburn is 7898 of 24,500 (picture #11).
