Description: This specimen was collected by our grandparents; who were into rockhounding , jewelry making and lapidary, many many years ago. This stunning piece was collected locally from Hampton Butte Oregon sometime between 1940-1970.I believe it to be Green Petrified Wood. It's polished top and bottom measuring 7" tall by 6" wide. Weighing just a little over 7 pounds. This beautiful piece showcases stunning colors and textures. Its unique beauty and stand-up design make it a perfect addition to any collection or as a decorative piece in a home or office. It was meant to be displayed, not packed away in a dusty old shop.
