Description: U.S. Shipping is INCLUDED in the price!New or reclaimed from industry materials: Acrylic paint, earth pigments, sealantSecondhand/recycled materials: Hartland Nativity SheepDescription: Hartland Plastics, in its various incarnations over the years, made a wide variety of models of domestic animals. This includes a donkey, camel, bull, and several sheep for their Nativity set. I acquired the animals from one of these vintage sets, and this is the grazing ewe. She's had a makeover, of course; I carved her ears to give them a little more definition, and also carved her nostrils and mouth. Her Hartland logo and seams have been sanded, and I sculpted a long, undocked tail since Arapawa sheep are a feral New Zealand landrace. I also sculpted a dry udder, since she doesn't have a lamb with her. She's been painted to a dark brown and white "cocktail" pattern in earth pigments and acrylics, and her eyes, nostrils, mouth, and hooves have been glossed.I nicknamed her "Eileen" since she leans to the right just a little, but she stands steadily enough if you don't seriously rock the shelf. Eileen measures just under 2" tall and is about 3" long. she's nicely in scale with smaller Breyer Classic (1:12) horses. She is NOT meant to be a toy, but a piece of artwork; be extra gentle with her tail as it is a bit fragile. I don't guarantee LSQ and she has a few minor flaws, but would be a lovely display model. This model will be shipped with insurance.
