Description: Vintage Iroquois China Syracuse "Pendleton" Oval Platter Plate Restaurant Railroad Ware. Width: 11-7/8 inches.Length: 8-1/8 inches. Height: 1-1/4 inches. Weight: These are heavy pieces and very well made, weighing 31 ounces each. There are 5 platters available and all are in great condition for age without chips or cracks. They have small scratches commensurate with age and utensil wear (see photos). Platter #5 does have a small spot of wear or manufacturer error on the red line at the top of platter (see photo). They are back stamped with Iroquois China Syracuse G-4/G-3, which denotes the date made, 1947 (see photos for chart). This pattern, named Pendleton, is a classic design with three-stripes consisting of red, green and yellow that run around the edge of each piece.
