Description: It is a wooden chest of drawers. This is a very rare, long and narrow Chōba-dansu (merchant's ledger chest). It was primarily used by merchants during the Edo period to the early Meiji period for storing long account ledgers. The top three tiers provide open storage space, and there is also one drawer. It can be used in various settings, such as for storing art supplies, organizing mail, kitchen or dining storage, or for organizing crafts and hobbies.
