This picture is a kind of ukiyo-e called Bijin-ga.Bijin-ga is a painting for the purpose of appreciating the beautiful appearance of men and women, and it is found all over the world, but what is called Bijin-ga mainly refers to oriental paintings. It is written that it was drawn by Toyonobu as the author.Toyonobu is Ishikawa Toyonobu, who is famous for bijin-ga.However, it seems that this is not an inscription left by the author himself, but was put in by the printmaker when making the print.We have not appraised the details of whether it is a picture of Toyonobu. The original painting may be from the Edo period, but from the condition of the paper, it seems that this painting was reprinted at the end of the Taisho era or the beginning of the Showa era, not the Edo period.
