The artist signed as a member of the United Scenic Artists local chapter. Touch and Go was written by Walter and Jean Kerr as a series of segments, each of which was performed as an independent song production. John Robert Lloyd (1920-1998) made his Broadway debut designing the scenery and costumes for Touch and Go. Following this production, he designed the sets for Stalag 17 and six other plays on Broadway in the next ten years. Then he moved to Hollywood to become a very successful art director and production designer for such monster movies as The Exorcist, Midnight Cowboy, and The Boys in the Band.
