JOY DIVISION - UNKNOWN PLEASURES - 1979 - True 1st First Pressing Vinyl

Description: Joy Division - Unknown Pleasures. A beautiful copy of their stunning debut album and a TRUE 1st pressing. I've owned this record since the mid 1980s and swapped it for a copy of Computer World by Kraftwerk with a friend who purchased it on release in June 1979. Ever since it's been kept in a protective sleeve and played a handful times as when CDs came out I bought a copy on CD and played that ever since. The LP has all of the requirements needed to be classed as a first pressing from 1979 - textured sleeve, rounded inner corners, Garrod & Lofthouse credit on bottom right corner, Porky Prime Cut on the run out as well as my own memory of when my friend bought it! To be honest I thought it was dreadful when I first heard it in 1979 and it took me until the mid 80s to truly appreciate it hence the swap! Please study the photos carefully as I always feel that they are a much better indicator of condition than any words. Considering the album is 45 years old it plays absolutely beautifully and I can't imagine it's been played more than a dozen times. A really superb copy that sounds today just as good as the day it was released. I play test on a vintage Pioneer record player as well as a more modern Pro-ject one and the record sounds absolutely superb on both. I clean all of my records with the Spin Clean system and then are finished off with a lint free cloth before being placed in ant-static sleeves.
