The first number is the multimeter's master processor firmware rev. The second number is the slave processor firmware rev. The latest rev for this instrument is Rev9. The difference between Rev 8 & 9 is generally not considered critical or worth uprev. There is also a simple workaround.available on-line.Error register: The ERRSTR? Command returns “0, NO ERROR” (see photo). This indicates that no hardware or programming errors were detected.Display: The front panel vacuum fluorescent display turns on all elements on power up (see photo). No missing elements were observed.Options: The OPT? command returns “OPT 0,0” (see photo). The first digit indicates there are no installed options and the second digit indicates that there is no extended reading memory option. However, the label on the instrument rear panel indicates Option 002 is installed. This option is High Stability (4 ppm/year) Reference. It is generally believed that this option, whether installed or not, is not necessary for most applications as stability for instruments with extended run time improves with time.Auto cals: The ACAL ALL command performs self cal for DC voltage gain and offset, ACV flatness, gain, and offset and OHMS gain and offset. The autocal performs specific enhancements for certain measurements and calculates & stores cal constants. There is no summary displayed at the conclusion of the cals unless an error is found. No error was found therefore no photo. External cals: The CALNUM? command returns “CALNUM 5” (see photo). This indicates that 5 external or 3rd party cals have been done on this instrument. The security labels from the last cal remain intact on both side panels. This also indicates that the covers have not been removed since the last cal. Self test: The TEST? command returns “SELF TEST PASSED” (see photo). This indicates that the meter completed running all standard internal tests and found no errors. There is also a power on self-test that is a subset of SELF TEST and is initiated when the power is turned on. If all tests pass then the unit beeps once. The beep was noted on power on. RETURNS & WARRANTYReturns: will be accepted only if buyer can provide photos showing that the unit fails to repeat any of the "Operating Test Results" listed above. Buyer has 1 week after receipt of the instrument to provide proof. Buyer pays for return shipment & insurance at sales value.. Any return for any reason will be voided if the unit is opened, if any calibration or lockout stickers have been tampered with or removed or if the unit's external condition differs from that shown in the listing photos.
