Description: Kidnap: The Shocking Story of the Lindbergh Case, Pocket Books 1962 by George Waller. This historical accounting of the kidnapping of the Lindbergh baby and the events that followed was published in 1961, just under 30 years after the events. It is a detailed reportorial accounting of one of the great scandals of the 20th century. This "Giant Cardinal" edition by Pocket Books was published in 1962. This copy is the first printing of the Pocket Books edition. It is in good shape, tight and square with a fully intact binding. The exterior shows moderate wear including bumped corners on the cover wrap and a crease at the top right corner of the cover. The first inside page is a blurb page and has a previous owner's name written at the top. Otherwise, the interior is clean and unmarked with off-white pages. The book includes several packets of glossy contemporaneous photos from the investigation and trial. Along with Helter Skelter, this is probably the most important work of True Crime writing of the 20th century. A must for fans of the genre. All books are individually evaluated and photos are of the actual book.
