Description: Vintage Navajo hand stamped sterling silver repousse turquouse 18 piece concho belt. This belt has history written all over it! The large leather strap measures 39 1/2" by 3". The black leather center strap measures 46" by 1". The buckle has four rectangle turquoise stones. There are 8 oval conchos and 9 butterfly conchos.There is a single turquoise stone set in the center of each oval, 8 butterflies. There is one butterfly with no stone. Two butterfly conchos are not original to the belt they were added later. There are 7 cracked stones in the oval conchos and 3 in the butterfly conchos. However, they are well seated. There are photos showing a slight indentation of the one concho. I have an arrow showing it. It weighs 603 grams. Each concho has detailed stamp work and patina. Please inspect photos. The artist's hallmark is unknownwhich is not uncommon for very old pieces. It has been tested for silver. Vintage pre-owned pawn items are sold as is. Support Native American sellers when possible.
