Description: Absolutely stunning copy of the original 1959 stereo pressing of Les Baxter’s African Jazz LP on Capitol St-1117. The stereo pressing of this record is for some reason so much rarer than Baxter’s other stereo records from the same time, and the difference is huge. The stereo is just an incredible 3-D world of exotic percussion. This is really one of the great stereo recordings of that time. You rarely see good copies of the stereo version, and this one is almost completely pristine. The disc is very nearly perfectly mint and plays absolutely flawlessly and just gorgeously. The cover has only the slightest signs of gentle use and age. This is truly about the best copy you will ever see. A very rare find. Near impossible to beat.
