The yellow flowers appear in late Winter and early Spring before the onset of leaves. Excels are planted on slopes, used as a foundation plant, or cascade over walls. Winter Jasmine prefers well-drained soil in full sun or some light shade. Lightly trimming can keep in the habit. Remarkably, it doesn't seem fussy about the soil's quality, but adding some compost may be beneficial.
