Description: Up for auction is this lightly used Vintage Mamod SE3 Twin Cylinder Superheated Steam Engine needing a WELDING REPAIR. Made In England, this steam engine was my late husband’s as you can see by the receipt. He purchased in 1977 one of many. He was the first and only owner. Time for someone else to enjoy. As you can see, in the PHOTO one copper pipe has come unwelded. It appears as if my husband made a repair once. I can’t tell you if a weld repair would make this work or not AS I DONT KNOW MUCH ABOUT THESE. It seems as if the rest of the engine is in almost new condition. Looks to have been lit once. Ironically, we lived in England and he could have had it repaired there in 1985-88. THE PURCHASE IN 1977 was before we met. In 33 years of marriage, i only recall twice that he lit a few of his engines. It comes with everything shown including the original box except the oil which is prob not good. The fuel box is full and unused. I am putting the engine box inside a larger box with styrofoam outside the box and padding around the engine inside the box. What a great addition to your collection.
