Description: This is an original 1942 6th edition hardcover copy of the vintage medical textbook "Management of the Sick Infant and Child," written by Drs. Langley Porter & William E. Carter and published by C. V. Mosby Company. The topics discussed can be seen on the contents pages in my 8th through 11th photos. Over 900 pages of old medical knowledge, supplemented with occasional illustrations & photos (some of them graphic), await the reader. The copy being offered is in good vintage condition overall. As you'll see in my first five photos, the covers have some scrapes, light stains, and wear, particularly in the corners and at the top and bottom of the spine, where some fraying occurs (best seen in my 5th photo); staining also occurs on the page edges. Inside, the pages are clean & crisp, with no marking or writing that I could find (if any exists, it certainly isn't much); many pages also have dog-ear creases (most of them light) in their upper outer corners. While the binding remains strong, it does have a few weaker spots.
