Description: This listing is for the relatively large painting that you see in the photos. I purchased it at an estate sale in Oregon where I was not told it's history. It's signed "Charles 68" so I am assuming that's when it was painted. I have not determined who the artist is. I do not know where it was painted but if I had to guess I say that it was painted in the USA. The frame measures close to 28 1/4 by 52 1/4 inches. The area of the painting exposed by the frame measures close 23 1/4 by 47 1/4 inches. The framed painting weighs close to 8 pounds 14 ounces. I have not examined it out of the frame. It feels like it is on some kind of hard and smooth board that might be a type of Masonite. I think that it is probably an oil painting. Much of the surface is relatively flat but there are many areas that are raised somewhat to give it an interestingly textured surface that have highlights of gold paint painted on them.. Hopefully my photos can give you a good idea of what I am talking about. Due to his size because of its size I took many of the photos outside. It's it's appearance very somewhat with the lighting. Because it is dark and somewhat shiny very dark areas look bright depending upon the lighting. Some of the photos are taken inside to give you a better idea of what it looks like. Condition is much like you see it in the photo. The painting is in excellent condition with no damage. A close up shows two tiny areas on the edge of the frame where there's a little damage. The paper backing on the frame is not perfect and has a little of some kind of white substance on it. Otherwise it's painting and frame I am very good condition and not showing. I normally provide close to 2 inch clearance all the way around an object in the box. In this case, I will be using a little less clearance because a full 2 inches would increase the postage to over $300 instead of generally less than $100 for less protection. I will use a sturdy box. I guarantee this totem pole to be as described and represented by the photos. The photos are part of the description; please look at all of them. I allow three business days for shipping, but I usually ship the same or next day if possible. Please note that the lighting in my photos is uneven, and there might be shadows or reflections. The colors on my monitor look close to but not exactly like the actual colors; different monitors may show different colors. I often say that an item measures or weighs "approximately" because no measurements are exact, and some things are difficult to measure.I like to leave feedback after I know that the item has arrived and that the buyer is satisfied. I reserve the right to cancel any bids without explanation. I sometimes purchase signature delivery for my more valuable packages because of the possibility of them being stolen off of a porch or damaged by weather. I often, but not always, ship the same or next day. Often, I have a double-walled box custom made for larger items, which might result in a short delay. When I use packing peanuts, they are usually made from biodegradable materials. Please email me with any questions or suggestions. I do not ship on weekends, and I might not be available to answer emails on weekends. Thanks for looking at my ad.
