Description: Neoware Capio 508 Upgraded Thin Client x86 MSDOS SB Compatible w/ Win95 + Games I've been tinkering with this fun little nugget all week! 300mhz Cyrix MediaGXm processor overclocked to 333mhz. Fan added to keep it cool. 128MB RAM installed. 4GB DOM installed. Has SB Compatible DOS sound support! (with caveats) Windows 95 + correct drivers and a couple of games installed. USB thumb drives work in Windows and DOS (run USBD.BAT). It will run MOST MSDOS games really well. But it does have some caveats compared to a full blown x86 PC. SB compatible audio works great in many games, but some have glitchy audio (i.e. Tyrian). VGA games that utilize mode X sometimes perform slow or not at all. For example, Out Of This World was nearly unplayable, Wolfenstein 3D just gives a black screen. OG Doom is like 15fps in areas, but I installed "Marine's Best Friend", which is an improved DOS port that uses VESA modes. It runs 100% solid! Quake runs surprisingly great!
