The cleaning kit comes in the black cardboard tube right out of the original issue box. According to the label on the tube these were packed in 1954 and thy sat in the warehouse ever since. The tube shows storage ware as it should for being a original military item that is 60 plus years old.. This kit comes with the canvas case to put it into the stock of the M1 Garand. The cleaning kit is in very good surplus condition as you can see in my pictures.
