Description: A superb and rare image. Shown is John Surtees in full action on his Norton 350cc Manx during the Ulster Grand Prix of 1955. Future world champion on two (and four!) wheels John Surtees finished the race in third position, the same position in which he finished the 500cc race on his Norton. He was only 21 years old when this image was taken. Though Norton no longer fielded an official factory team at that time, Surtees and a few other riders indeed received factory assistance. He did really well. In 1956 Surtees would become world champion in the 500cc class. Two years later, in 1958 he would become world champion in both the 500cc and the 350cc class! In 1959 and 1960 he also would become double world champion in these classes! A nice and rare opportunity to obtain an image of one of the greatest motorcycle champions of all time, it is a very historic image that not only has a lot of historic value but also looks marvellous, framed or unframed!
