Description: Item for auction is a 30.26g endcut of NWA 5597 diogenite that was found by Svend Buhl in Outat el Hadj, Morocco in 2007. Total known weight of the find is 171.5g comprised of one stone. This is the endcut off that main mass and features a fresh, flight marked fusion crust over 85% of the natural external surface, while the obverse has been cut and polished to reveal the monomict brecciated matrix dominated by coarse pyroxene, along with chromite and free metal inclusions. The specimen also displays a hand painted serial number on its fusion crust, identifying it as one of Dr Buhl’s collection pieces. This specimen comes with Dr Buhl’s Certificate of Authenticity (CoA), and a Big Kahuna Meteorites CoA. Scale cube is 1cm on each side and not included. Big Kahuna combines shipping, and addresses must be in the English language, to facilitate customs input at US Postal Service.
