Description: This auction is for a very pretty octagon oak frame with an Oval Mirror in a with beautiful carved trim around the outside edge of the mirror and carved oak Rosettes in each corner from England. It is about 31 7/8" wide and about 22" tall and can be hung either way by repositioning the wire on the back of the mirror. The beveled edge mirror size is about 23 1/4" X 13 1/2". This mirror has good clarity with some blemishes and tremendous eye appeal. It has a few dark spots on the silvering that verifies its older age. It is by far, our most treasured mirror and has been hanging in our guest room for over 10 years. It is not perfect but in over 23 years of being in this business, I have never seen another one like it. Special Note about our Mirrors. We try our best of offer only older and antique mirror. We do not sell imported mirrors from China or Indonesia that are made to look old. You can get them at any import store like The World Market and other stores that will gladly over-charge you for one of them. Most of the mirrors we sell will have some small dark spots or blemishes to the silvering, small scratches on the surfaces and or could have some light streaks showing when you view at certain angles, because they are from 75 to 125 years old, but at the end of the day, they are wonderful older mirrors with many years of good service remaining in them and just need a new place to "hang around".
