Description: This is an original GM cast iron manual transmission bellhousing. The casting number is 3733365. This style bellhousing was used on Small Block Chevy applications from 1955-early 60's. This bellhousing will also fit Big Block Chevy and "W" engines(348 & 409). This particular bellhousing has a casting date of B 7 7 as shown which decodes as February 7th, 1957. The date also has an "X" after it. I'm not sure if this has significance but GM had a tendency to put a "X" on special/high performance castings in this era. This would be great for a number's matching restoration, original car, or a period correct hot rod. Please confirm your specific application. This bellhousing is in good original condition as shown. There are no breaks, repairs, or modifications to this part. All threads are in good condition with no thread inserts or helicoils. There is no pitting on this bellhousing.
