Description: Oliver Kemp was a painter, illustrator, and writer who was born on May 13, 1887. He studied with H. Pyle; Chase; Gerome; Whistler; Abbey; and Sargent. Kemp was a member of the Wilmington Society of Art. His work was part of the collection of General Charles P. Summerall and his murals include the "Ancient Mayans" at the New Mayan Theatre in Bay City, Michigan and at the Post Tavern in Battle Creek, Michigan. As an illustrator, his work was in the text and on the covers of Scribner's, Harper's, Century, Colliers, and Saturday Evening Post. Kemp died on August 24, 1934. Here we have the "Adirondack Deer" or Whitetail Deer. This is an ORIGINAL print!! NOT a modern reproduction or reprint!!
