Description: Up for purchase is an original Pattern 1897 Infantry Officer sword. This example was made in England my MFL for the Tanzanian Army. Guard and blade both have the Tanzanian crest. Blade is bright and mint, with very nice etching. Guard and grip, likewise, are in excellent shape. Comes with the original leather wrapped scabbard. Leather dag at the end of the scabbard is somewhat bent, from what looks like the sword standing up against the wall. This is a beautiful and rare sword. if you collect obscure militaria, this one is for you. eBay limits the amount of photographs I can upload in each listing, so naturally on some items, I cannot take as many photos as I would like.
