Description: Pre WW1 / WW1 era British Royal Artillery Dress Uniform for sale. Comes complete with Jacket, Pants & Auguilette with knots. Unfortunately the jacket has had all of its buttons down the middle removed save 1. What appears to have been a warrant officer’s patch has also been removed from the right arm. The jacket itself is in pretty good condition otherwise. It comes with the tailor’s tag, reading “Hobson & Sons London”. The buttons on the jacket show three canons inside a shield with a king’s crown, indicating Royal Artillery. The pants are in very good shape. No visible stamping but there is a faint name; (?) Porter which has been written on the inside. The leather boot straps at the bottom are stamped with the War Department’s marking. The buttons on the pants were made by “H. Chappell Ltd.” This company was founded in 1867 and operated under this name until 1923, when it was changed to Herbert Chappell Ltd.
