RADIO SHOW:DICK BARTLEY GOLD 3/22/97 TOP 10 TEMPTATIONS! OTIS WILLIAMS IN STUDIO

Description: PLEASE NOTE MY SPECIAL LIMITED TIME OFFER TO MY FELLOW COLLECTOR FRIENDS. IF YOU BUY ANY FIVE SHOWS AT ONE TIME FROM MY COLLECTION, EBAY WILL AUTOMATICALLY DISCOUNT YOUR TOTAL PURCHASE BY 20%. IT IS THE LEAST I CAN DO FOR MY FRIENDS WHO LOOK FOR GREAT DEALS JUST AS I DO. SO HERE ARE THE BIG QUESTIONS: WHAT IS A RADIO SHOW? WHY COLLECT THEM? WHERE DO THEY COME FROM? Well, those are good questions, especially if you have never known of them. Radio Shows are syndicated productions by one of several large and small distributors who supply broadcast product to radio stations normally during weekends when the usual air personalities have a break. Many air on Saturday or Sunday evenings or during overnight segments. They often feature some of the best known voices for their genre from across the country thus the Dick Clark's and Casey Kasem's and Rick Dees and Dick Bartley and so many others. People collect them for various reasons. Some just collect the series because they like it and want them all. Some collect their favorite artists or genre of music. Rather than an album by the artist or a compilation bought at Wal Mart or downloaded through iTunes or wherever, they have a unique presentation of their favorite artist or music not available anywhere else and always with dj presentations which were very entertaining. Some collect interviews with their favorite artists as most shows had interview segments. Some collect commercials especially old car commercials but certainly not limited to only those. AND, these shows are in limited quantity. They were pressed just for syndicated stations in the United States. Many have just a few still in circulation. Some of the more popular shows may have as many as a few hundred of each week's show that survived but think about it. A few hundred for some 200 million Americans and millions of overseas collectors who look for unique presentations of their favorite artists or form of music is about as rare as rare can be. Many stations just threw them away after airing since they could never be broadcast again because of the time limited commercial content. SO they are increasingly hard to find and even more unclear how many survived. They were first distributed on reel to reel tape if the show goes back that far into the 60's, then later on lp, later on CD and even later (after 2000 for most shows) on CDR. Now they are not available at all to collectors since they are distributed by digital download much like you get your music from iTunes. These shows become rarer and rarer every day because the people who buy them hold on to them and the people who sell them, like me, are running out of them. I have had radio station sources for years selling me shows but over time they have dried up as all their shows are gone and they are no longer sent to stations in CD form. The shows that you get now and hold on to will never decrease in value and only increase. I have prided myself since the start to provide the best and fairest cost with a no holds barred guarantee that you will be happy or I refund your money. I sell them for near what I bought them for. I give volume discounts and discount postage always. As the postal service increases their rates, my shipping rates over the years has decreased. And, I have one of the biggest radio show libraries in the world consisting of over ten thousand of shows, so many that I don't even know all that I have and am sometimes amazed when I go to look for one show and find another that I did not realize I had. Finally, it is Americana at its best. Whether the show be from the 60's or 2000's, rock, countdown, oldies, country, classical, religious, jazz or big band, it is unique and home grown. And you just can't find them anywhere. Even record stores that still exist will rarely have any. Radio shows are wonderful representations of the real golden age of radio at least music wise. And every one you buy is an original, not a copy, not a remake - all are limited editions in the hundreds at most and most much less. OK guys and gals, in this outing, A RARE TREAT!!!! I recently came across many of the old Dick Bartley American Gold shows, the definitive oldies series of all time. Getting and collecting shows from all eras of the show is great fun and you can literally trace its evolution over the years. Dick Bartley has been a personal favorite of mine dating back to his Solid Gold Scrapbook days and his ability to not just play mainstream oldies all the time. He knows the artists and knows the music and can tell you a remix from mono or a stereo to some other rare option for a song in a second and often includes them with their stories on his show. These Dick Bartley shows are super rare and need to be in your collection. These shows all come with their cue sheets, of course in fresh shape, some with markings on them by the board op as to length of time segments. Of course, I ship them to you in a special mailer to ensure they will be as fresh and good looking when they come to your home as they are now. I am proud to offer you an opportunity to have some of these rare shows for your own collection. You will especially love them if you are a fan of the 60's because the show always glorified the era of 60's music, the heart and soul of the early rock era. As the show continued into the 2000's, the demographics changed and the show started skewing away from the late 50's and 60's and early 70's to the entire decade of the 60's and into the greatest of the 70's. So whatever your taste, just check out the listing and see what you will get. You will be amazed. If you are a fan of the show or of the featured group or genre , also know that every one of Dick's shows was unique and different. So, for example, if you like the Beatles and get a show featuring them, and see another show listed in a tribute to the Beatles, it will be completely different. And remember, each show had upwards of 60 great different songs on it along with all the interviews, commentary, history, and entertainment features! Most of you remember know about Dick Bartley and his radio history. Dick has been on national radio since the early 80's, about 30 years of daily and weekly shows. That is a whole lot of radio. This guy knows it all and knows them all. The interviews you hear on his show are as great as the music and the information that he imparts about the songs and the groups is amazing. He started on RKO Radio Networks in the early 80's on the cusp of radio syndication and was there until RKO was disolved. Then United Stations took on the RKO syndication business and Dick was one of the shows picked up by United Stations with them. He was there and very successful, enormously successful in fact, until 1988 when he left United Stations over a contract dispute and went to Westwood One. Then ABC picked him up and he remained there until March of 2010. In the meantime, United Stations merged with TransStar and became UniStar which lasted about a year before becoming again United Stations. Last spring Dick returned to his early home United Stations. SO, Dick has been on the air in syndication steadily since 1982. That is almost as long as Dick Clark and more than any other dj that you will hear in syndication. Sadly, United Stations is distributing Dick by digital download and CD's are no longer produced. YES there are NO MORE Dick Bartley American Gold shows to be had on CD. THESE ARE THE LAST. And YOU can have them. Imagine, the very last and they can be in your collection. It is Americana that few people can own both because of their rarity and because people just don't know about them. You will get the perfect show, FOUR HOURS ON FOUR BEAUTIFUL CD'S LOOKING LIKE THEY WERE JUST PRESSED in beautiful shape, WITH THEIR CUE SHEETS ALSO IN GREAT CONDITION with only dj marks on the cue sheets to acknowledge their playing. These are genuine collector's items that you will treasure and which will increase in value as all radio shows, especially the quality shows like Dick Bartley, completely disappear from the market place or become too expensive to afford. The show comes on 4 CDs , four hours, and in pristine condition and with their cue sheets in excellent condition. This show is 97-12 and aired on MARCH 22, 1997. IT IS UNIQUE AND YOU WILL NEVER SEE IT AGAIN. THE EXACT SHOW CONTENTS CAN BE SEEN IN THE LISTING PICTURES. YOU JUST CAN'T BEAT THOSE EARLY TUNES AND THEY ARE ALL IN THIS SPECIAL COLLECTION. THIS IS A UNIQUE AND RARE OPPORTUNITY TO OWN SUCH TRIBUTES AND IN A PRESENTATION NOT AVAILABLE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. MOST PEOPLE DO NOT EVEN KNOW THAT RADIO SHOWS EXIST. THEY WERE PUBLISHED IN LIMITED EDITION TO SYNDICATING STATIONS ONLY SO THE GENERAL PUBLIC NEVER EVEN KNEW THEY EXISTED. IMAGINE THIS SITTING ON YOUR COFFEE TABLE DURING A PARTY AND PEOPLE WONDER WHAT IN THE WORLD IT IS AND YOU CAN GIVE THEM THE HISTORY OF RADIO SHOWS. THERE ARE VERY FEW AROUND TO FIND. THEY ARE REAL AMERICANA AND UNIQUE AND RARE. ALL FEATURES ARE PRESENTED IN NUMERICAL ORDER . ALONG WITH THIS ARE INTERVIEWS AND TID BITS FROM DICK BARTLEY THAT I BET YOU DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT THIS UNIQUE SUBJECT IN THE HISTORY OF ROCK AND ROLL! THEN AT THE END, IN A SEPARATE TRACK (IN THE CLEAR) WITH NO TALKING IS THE EXTRA GOLD SEGMENT WHERE LESSER KNOWN OR RARE VERSIONS OF SONGS WERE PROVIDED FOR STATIONS LIBRARIES. Along with the themes of the show, you hear mixed with them top hits from the 50's, 60's and 70's, (MOSTLY 60'S and early 70's with a smattering of 50's classics) Check out the songs on this show in addition to the theme that you will hear! You will be impressed! If you have heard Dick's show, you know exactly what to expect! Please remember, this is the genuine original show that was sent to the radio station for airing. It is NOT an unauthorized copy but the Real McCoy!!! I personally guarantee that every radio show that I sell is the original show sent to stations. Remember that this and all the radio music shows that you see on eBay are not just about the music - the music can be found anywhere. It is the mixture of great music and great announcing that makes it so entertaining. As well, it is a piece of radio and music history. You just aren't going to find these shows around very much longer as everything is now digitized and downloaded for play and shows are no longer sent out on CD's. Think of what they will be worth in a few years! (IF you wanted to sell.) I am selling to share with other music lovers what I was able to get at a reasonable price. As always, for U.S. buyers, I charge only shipping on the first show you buy so the more you buy the more money you will save. For my international friends, I will again only charge shipping on the first show you purchase and all others ship for free. Good Luck and God Bless You.
