Randolph Engineering Aviator Bright Chrome AF 52[]20 NOS Gray Glass Lenses

Description: Older original model and very rare Bright Chrome Randolph frame with new nose pads and NOS(new old stock) gray non-polarized glass lenses! The glass lenses are sourced from military surplus, non-polarized, no logo. Correct for military issue. Randolph frame rates a 9/10, with some yellowing on the temple tips. Given that these glasses are 40-50 years old, the yellowing is normal, but, other than that, the condition is excellent. See pictures for details. Full frame tuneup includes automotive quality detailing, disassembly, deep cleaning , tightening all hardware, new nose pads, and cleaned temple tips. Even changed the screws that hold the frame. 52 mm lenses are the smaller size in the Randolph catalogue, suitable for an average or smaller sized person. 140 mm (5.5”) temple arm length. The frames are 5.25” wide. Use that as a sizing guide, with a pair of glasses that fit you well, to make sure these will fit your face. Please do this before you bid. Notice the clarity of the lettering on the frame and the iconic Randolph Engineering embossed on the inside of the temple arms. The lettering on the frame dates these glasses to about 1975-85. Frames are straight and true, in exceptionally good condition for their age, but not new. Do not purchase if you want new. These are vintage(vintage means old) sunglasses, see pictures for condition and ask questions. New hard travel case included. Very nice pair of sunglasses. This frame is very nice, and it is very rare. Please note that the nose pads are the old style(AO style), not the push in silicone. This frame rates a 9/10.
