He escaped and hid out long enough to be placed on the FBI’s 10 Most Wanted List. He was finally arrested at his mother’s house in Medford in December 1968. Convicted of second-degree murder, he was imprisoned at MCIWalpole, where he was a suspect in the murder of Albert DeSalvo, the alleged Boston Strangler.
