Ernest Howard Shepard (10 December 1879 – 24 March 1976) was an English artist and book illustrator. Best known for his illustrations in Winnie the Pooh and The Wind in the Willows, was also a prolific contributor to British Punch magazine for many decades. WHAT IS PUNCH?
