Description: This vintage Great Northern Railway table lighter is a very rare find for collectors of railroadiana and other unique lighters. I have never seen this Table lighter at any of the shows or online. I have only seen it once in a railroadiana price guide and it did not give a price and listed the table lighter as rare. This came from a very old gentleman who had been collecting Great Northern Railway all his life and he determined out of all of his impressive collection he valued this as one of his top three prized pieces. This Great Northern Railway table lighter is not only rare but it is also unique that it has never been used! It still retains its original white wick. This beautiful brushed stainless steel Great Northern table lighter appears from the quality of construction and heavy weight to be from the Art Deco 1930’s period with its very bold streamlined design. This lighter is approximately 3 &1/3 inches in height and is in perfect unused condition with no wear of any kind. It as though someone received it as a gift and kept it in a trunk for almost 100 years. I believe that extremely few of these were produced as they obviously would have been very expensive. Perhaps they were made as gifts for the board of directors. Weight is 11.26 ounces Height is 3 - 6/16”
