Description: Fifty-six two-cane millefiori glass beads in 7 different colors are separated by small round natural wood spacer beads. The canes include many unusual canes that are not seen in millefiori made after 1970. Very unusual round push in catch (see photos.) The necklace has been securely restrung on nylon thread. Very good vintage condition. There is a single chipped bead; see photos; it is a dark blue bead which is the 15th bead from the ball end of the clasp. These glass beads were handmade on the island of Murano, Italy, using a centuries-old multi-step glass-working process traditionally passed down through just a few families.
