Description: This is a vintage paper advertising poster that was issued by the Socony-Vacuum Oil Company to their Mobil service stations to display on their property. Most were taped to the office windows, facing out, so customers at the pump island could see them. It was common for them to be replaced monthly because of condensation causing water staining as well as sun fading. Thus it is rare to see one survive intact and as nice as this. Measures 40" X 26½" and presently is mounted on a piece of poster board and shrink-wrapped. The new owner will get it removed from the poster board and rolled up into a cardboard mailing tube.
