RARE Vintage Southwest Solid Iron Stylized Bear Lamp, Brutalist, Richard Barr

Description: Arts and Crafts / Mission / Trent Art / Brutalist Vintage Southwest Solid Iron Stylized Bear Electric Lamp, Studio, Abstract. Very Unique!!!! Very artistically and wonderfully crafted. Fantastic vintage one of a kind work of Art. The type of torch cut construction and execution as well as the bronze / goldish / hints of red patinated finish all resemble some of the iron lamp works of famed artist Richard Barr. If you research his metal works you will find this finish. The only marking we could find was the word "France" stamped on the side of the center rod near the top, see photo. Lamp has an additional nightlight socket inside base. Very unique hand crafted Vintage lamp in the Southwest / Arts and Crafts style. Stylized bear and broken arrow Native American motif with intricate cutout metal work in the heavy iron metal. The bear is a symbol of strength, healing, and protection in Native American culture. Kind of a Trench Art type of crafting from iron pipe ( don't know if this is some type of shell casing or not). Measures approx. 6 1/2" wide at base. Body of lamp is approx. 18" tall ( 24" to top of socket). Weight is approx. 13 1/2 LBS. There is the main socket and also a small light socket inside the base for accent lighting / nightlight. There is a goldish bronze added all-over finish on lamp (again, really unique). Lamp base measures approx. 18" tall ( not including center rod and socket) x 6 1/2" wide at base. In Nice Condition. No chips, cracks or other damage. Wiring may need testing and restoration See photos and description. No shade or bow is included. The socket is ready for bow easy installation, but the bow needed will depend on the size and type of shade to be used on lamp.
