Description: Oreo's 2024 black lamb's fleece is ready! This lamb is an Icelandic/Shetland cross, so has the amazing length from the Icelandic, with extra softness from the Shetland. If you love natural color, this beautiful black fleece is for you. It is a light, soft fleece at 1.11lbs and a 4+ inch staple length. It is a light, soft fleece at 1.15lbs and a 4+ inch staple length. This lamb's fleece is about 1/2 - 2/3 the size of my adult ewe fleeces. The difference with the lamb's wool is in softness. In the photo, you can see that it is quite thick up to the first few inches, and thins out in the last few inches. Please note that my flock is not blanketed, and so there is a normal amount of vm in the fleeces, which is represented in these photos. Please also note that this is one entire fleece. I do not wash or divide fleeces. I just shear them, toss out some dirty tags, and fold the still intact fleece gently in it's entirety into a box to ship to you. Also, I pay shipping!
