Remington "New 22 Repeater" Model 12 Takedown Slide Action Rimfire Rifles: 1909 – 1936Remington introduced their "New 22 Repeater" hammerless slide action rifle in 1909 which eventually became known as the model 12 rifle. This rifle was a popular addition to their line featuring a 22" round barrel in 22 S, L & LR caliber, straight grip walnut butt stock, grooved walnut forearm and quick takedown option. A number of model 12 variations were introduced in the years to follow such as the model 12-B (Gallery Special) in 22 Short, 12-C having a 24" octagon barrel and pistol grip butt stock, and the model 12-CS which was chambered in 22 WRF caliber. Peerless, Expert and Premier grades were offered as well with variations in engraving and stock configurations.
