Description: Four images of this very-generously-illustrated book, which is about 115 years old, are shown below. It is: Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam. Rendered into English by Edward Fitzgerald, Published in London by Ernest Nister, no date, circa 1910, first edition thus (i.e., this is the first edition with these illustrations). It measures 7 1/2" x 5 1/2" and is 147 pages and in Very Good condition with some edgewear to the binding and with some gentle overall wear. In addition to the five, full-page, color illustrations by Heath Robinson (e.g., please see image #2 below), he has done 28, smaller, color illustrations (e.g., image #3 below). All pages have an art Nouveau decorated border; the endpapers, also, are decorated in the Art Nouveau style, as are the front board and spine. The board edges are beveled, all page edges are gilt, and all pages are high-quality glossy stock. There is no former-owner's bookplate inside, no writing inside, no foxing, and there are no loose pages.
