This item is in great condition for its age. It’s signed on the bottom as shown in the photos. No cracks or repairs. There are few spots with missing paint around the rim as shown in the photos. It seems like this happened from manufacturing. The colors are so amazing. This plate was hand painted. The artist is Salvatore Scaffidi. Architect, ceramicist, painter, and poet, Salvatore’s creations are born of a range of disciplines and influences, both modern and traditional. But, while his concepts and creations may push boundaries, his work is always distinctly Sicilian. The diameter is about 18.5”. This plate is so beautiful. It will be wrapped very carefully.
