And keep checking the "COLLECTION LIQUIDATION" category of my ebay store, as I will be adding more items all the time!SCARNE'S TRICKS -- by John Scarne (combined single volume that includes Scarne on Card Tricksand Scarne's Magic Tricks)this is the Crown publishing "Book Club" edition (circa mid-1970's) -- this edition put both of Scarne's major magic books under a single cover (the books were originally published in 1950 and 1951)hardcover, -- no dust jacket included (missing original dust jacket) SCARNE ON CARD TRICKS -- There are a lot of excellent card magic collections for beginners, but Scarne's is by far the most comprehensive and the best. It includes 155 tricks from many of the 20th century's best close-up magicians. By modern publishing standards, the format and page layout are fairly "dense", so you have to concentrate fully while reading, but the extra effort is worth it. Tons of excellent self-working card magic.SCARNE'S MAGIC -- although less "impressive" than his book on Card tricks, this follow-up book by Scarne is filled with so many magic effects that most beginners in magic find dozens of tricks they will learn and perform. Look at the many photos of the table of contents to see all the card tricks and general magic that Scarne covers. NOTE: many sellers list this edition as a First Edition, because Crown did not print a new copyright date in the book. But it is a reprint edition from the mid 1970'sI see this book listed from booksellers at prices ranging from about $8 up to $100 -- the top end of that range is crazy. Most low priced offerings are usually ex-library, so probably pretty beat up and heavily marked. This book was owned by a magician and although it shows wear, it is in very good condition. Still, I will price it at the bottom end of that range Please read condition notes and look at photos.CONDITION NOTES: previously owned, but in good condition. The pages and cover are in very good condition -- clean, undamaged, and unmarked. Some minor browning and edge wear.
