Description: Purchased in 2022 from WWBW, this trumpet has barely been played and is always cleaned and aired out with a blower and then oiled after each use. It is spotless, smells, and looks like it is in mint condition. It has never traveled outside my climate-controlled home studio and was used to record some playing but not to practice. The valves are new looking-see pics, and the inside is very clean. It has incredible compression-see video. It has been stored in a case, but the original case was left in its original box and shipping container. Included are all the accessories and the original warranty! The case is in mint condition. About the sound: The Handcraft Series HC1 Trumpet offers a warm, smooth tone with a yellow brass bell, which provides clarity, warmth, and a consistent tone quality in all registers and dynamics. Tuning is exceptional in all registers! It’s the modern answer to the Martin Committee. More sought after than the HC2. I used it with a Lotus turbo wood which made it sound very dark and creamy yet responsive and could go from an airy whisper to a scream! No mouthpiece will be included. These sell for $4K new and the HC1 in this used condition is uncommon. However, you need to know some things about this trumpet before you purchase, so please look carefully at the pictures with the red-circled areas. There is a small scratch on the curved part of the bell- I don’t know how it got it, but it might have been there already. A small lacquer imperfection/defect in the valve block area probably also came like that. Lastly, the middle slide got stuck while putting it in after cleaning it a couple of months ago. This might come out, but it seems stuck with the entry rolled a bit, and it will probably run $100 at any dependable trumpet repair shop. None of these issues affect the sound.
