Description: Exact replica of the famous antique New England Museum model. Includes original box and tag. Hand painted wooden body, full jointed arms and legs. Wearing a charming calico costume, lace trimmed petticoats and pantaloons. She has a white bonnet tied with a black bow. From the tag: "This early American Beauty dates back to the very beginning of the country. She's quaint, old fashioned and a refreshing addition to any doll collection." There is a dent in the wooden head, and the box has a spot on the side. See photos for details. This doll is from my mother LaVerne Hammond's collection of dolls. She purchased it at the Studebaker Estate Sale in November 1995 from the Doll Collection of Opal Maschka, a world traveler who was 91 years old.
