Signed Edmund Hillary (plus one other signature) 'High Adventure' 1st Ed HB Book

Description: For sale is a signed Edmund Hillary ‘High Adventure’ 1st Edition hardback book - Published Hodder and Stoughton 1955 Signed by Edmund Hillary in blue pen to the page before the title page There is another signature on the first free end paper (see photo) but I haven’t been able to identify who it is The book’s condition is overall good. The binding is tight and the pages are generally clean although some tanning is evident on the free end papers. The blue boards in places are in good condition except along the bottom of the spine there is discolouration where a part of the dust jacket is missing and this has caused the exposed area to change its colour. The text block pages are in good condition. The dustjacket shows the most deterioration with there being rips and pieces missing particularly to the part that should be covering the bottom of the spine. The dustjacket shows shelfwear and tanning around the perimeter edge – please be aware of the condition of the book if you are considering purchasing it and look carefully at the photos The book will be sent with a clear protective but removable dustjacket covering Highly collectible with it being signed by Edmund Hillary.
