Description: Correct Design Headlight Adjusting Hardware Kit 1967-1968 Pontiac Firebird High grade Stainless Steel water fitting that mounts in your cylinder head. Compatible with all versions of water pumps. Machined from stainless steel and guaranteed to perform. This 2nd design version was factory installed on all 1972-1981 models but will work great for all 1965-1981 Pontiac engines. This is the Heater Hose Pipe on the RH Passenger Side Head close to the distributor. Often will rust out and break off at the head, don't get stuck order a new one today. Replaces original GM # 499744. The original GM number was 9781091 which GM superseded to 499744 in the early 70s. That design had a spring on the inside to restrict water flow. GM had failures with the spring style and the changed it to a rubber restrictor, which is more forgiving in all temperature conditions. This Heater Hose Fitting fits 1965-81 Pontiac GTO / Judge / LeMans / Tempest / Grand Prix / Firebird / Trans Am models with 326, 389, 400, 428, and 455 engines. Now manufactured is Stainless Steel to prevent rusting & eventual snap is eliminated. Correct fit for all Firebird and Trans Am models with V8 engines; 326, 389, 400, 428, 455, etc..
