Description: TAORMINA (1908) Built by D&W Henderson & Co., Glasgow, Scotland as a 8,921 GT ship with dimensions of 482'x58'. Twin-screw, 16.5 knots, triple expansion engines, two masts and one funnel. Originally built for the ITALIA Line and as such served in the service to South America. Commenced Genoa- New York service for the Lloyd Italiano in 1912. Transferred to Navigazione Generale Italian in 1918. Scrapped in Italy in 1929.
