All the patterns have close-up full color photos next to the instructions which are thoroughly written out (no schematics or symbols though). The cardi has 3 sizes 42-48"finished. This one shows how to connect the motifs while working them. The felted handbag shows how to felt it with pictures of the washing machine.The jumper shows doing ripple stitch pattern. The socks show doing an afterthought heel. The diagonal pillow shows this stitch close-up plus also lots of photos doing the reverse single crochet or crab stitch. There are tips throughout the book and even for the experienced crocheter, this book is definitely worth the price. Contributors in addition to the author are Annie Modesitt and Kristin Omdahl. I love the spiral binding which makes using the book so much easier.
