Description: This is a first edition first printing of The Accidental President by Robert Sherrill. What makes it particularly interesting is that this book was a gift from one author to another. The author, Robert Sherrill, gave this book to his friend and fellow author, Harry W. Ernst. Together they wrote the book "The Drugstore Liberal: Hubert H Humphrey in Politics". On the title page the author wrote " For my friend Harry Ernst who really isn't such a bad fellow, no matter what Lyndon says. With fond regards, The Accidental Author" This is a truly unusual find. The book is in good condition for its age. The dust cover does have a tear in the front and some other rips and tears on the top and bottom. Please see pictures. The book itself is in good condition. The spine is tight. The pages are yellow and have some foxing (yellow spotting) from age. It is interesting that on page 199, someone circled the page and underlined a typo, in typical author fashion!
