The red lettering to the spine is a touch faded but remains clearly legible. Not price clipped. An attractive example, in entirely original condition of the final book in J R R Tolkien's "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy. Text is in Hammond's revised second state (page 49 has slipped "s" in "Legolas" and the signature mark 4 to the bottom margin. The dustwrapper is the latest of the three known variants of the first edition with single line review quotes under "The Fellowship of the Ring" and the "Two Towers" on rear flap.
